If for any unfathomable reason you feel that your Xbox 360 still isn’t geeky enough, just toss it out and replace it with this one, crafted in the likeness of beloved Star Wars droid R2-D2.
When Microsoft’s Kinect technology came out, so did a million and one ideas to use it with—it seemed that Star Wars was an inevitable choice for this somewhere down the line. Now that the actual Kinect Star Wars game is coming out, they’ve thrown in the additional perk of an R2-D2 inspired Xbox 360.
The nerdgasm doesn’t stop there. Not only is this an R2-D2 casing—the console was also decked out with custom R2-D2 sounds that beep and boop when you turn it on and eject the disc tray (which has the legendary “Help me, Obi-Wan” line on it), not to mention a C-3PO controller. Truly something for the real fanboys.
Expect the whole package to retail for $449.99 with a white Kinect and the Star Wars game thrown in—a fair enough price considering how awesome a novelty this is.—LONGFELLOW
