It’s all about the nitty-gritties like bustle details, subtle tailoring, and handmade trims in Yvonne Quisumbing’s Holiday 2011 Collection. Though Anne Curtis came out with a fiery red intro (her gorg locks courtesy of L’Oreal), the rest of the collection has soft powdery feminine colors that are probably culled from the 18th century.
It’s equal parts modern and nostalgic; chiffon, drawstring details, and plunging necklines add a delicate sexiness, and that grey asymmetrical dress? It’s sure to replace every girl’s LBD. Of course, it was Yvonne’s fuschia finale gown that put the exclamation point to the endlessly spectacular but chic and wearable set.-SEREENA
